the Modern Collection is a music blog based in Perth (WA) of Australia. It was originally founded by Tyson Lloyd, who had all the intentions to run the blog himself, sharing music with the world, and hence rising to stardom. Ok, not really, but you get the gist. He quickly realised that he needed a fellow music loving mate to run the blog with him to help him keep on top of the goings-on in the music world.

That mate is Jack Burgess. Tyson and Jack now share the blog and both share posts about music that they love. They try to focus on small Aussie bands, but now and then they will stray to some bigger bands if they are really digging their tunes. They are growing steadily in their fan base of music lovers, and they still intend to rise to stardom. Ok, they still don't intend to do that.

If you are also wondering why the heck we always write 'the' in our name with a lowercase 't,' it's because we really aren't too fond of the 'the' word, and we like to be a little bit different around here. But hey for all those grammar nuts out there; we do apologise.
