Yes, Kimbra is 'that girl' that sings with Gotye on his track Somebody That I Used To Know, which has become impressively popular, and for good reason too! After gaining significant attention singing with Miami Horror on their track I Look To You, the New Zealand born Kimbra released her first single, Settle Down. Everything about this track is great, from the clapping build up to the chorus, the 'boom ba boom ba' chanting to her amazing vocals. Love it! Take a listen for yourself here.
But it gets better, Kimbra's second single is just as great, with a boppy, colorful music video that goes perfectly with the song titled Cameo Lover. Testament to how great of a song this is, it took out the 2011 Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition, beating none other then Gotye's single Somebody That I Used To Know, which came a humble third. Keep on the lookout for more great stuff coming off of Kimbra's debut album,Vows which is set to be released on the 2nd of September.
